On February 17th, Obayashi 's Indonesian subsidiary, PT. Jaya Obayashi, was certified for ISO 30415:2021 (Human resource management--Diversity and inclusion), a new international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2021. This is the second ISO certification in Indonesia, the first for a construction company or a Japanese company, and the first for Obayashi Group.

PT. Jaya Obayashi donates to employment support facilities for people with disabilities and educational support organizations for children who have difficulty attending school. In addition, the company aims to create a workplace environment that is comfortable for everyone, and has set up a nursing room (a room for expressing milk) that can be used by breastfeeding mothers returning to work after giving birth, and a prayer room where employees can pray during the day.
In addition to these efforts, the company was also recognized for employing three people with disabilities as baristas in its in-house cafe when obtaining the certification.
