Greetings from the Japan Water Agency the Kawakami Dam Construction Office Director

At the Japan Water Agency, an independent administrative agency, i-Construction, and management are promoted from investigation and surveying to design, inspection, maintenance and renewal, and reconstruction to drastically improve productivity, efficiency, and sophistication at all construction production processes. Currently, we are actively working on the Kawakami Dam Construction Project, which is currently constructing a concrete gravity dam in Iga City, Mie Prefecture.
In the Kawakami Dam construction project, we constructed a CIM that can add attribute information such as construction management data to the basic data of terrain, geological and structure of 3D converted, with looking ahead from design and construction to future maintenance and management.
Some preparatory work, such as slope stability countermeasure work and site road construction, was attempted as ICT utilization work, and expanding target construction types and models for ICT construction at Japan Water Agency were accumulated as basic materials for improving the procedures.
In September 2019, we started placing concrete for the main body of the Kawakami Dam to show what Kawakami dam can protect the safety and reassure the region.
In the future, at the Kawakami Dam construction sites, we will be planning to make full use of the technology to increase productivity and efficiency and advance at sites in various situations and many types of construction work.
We expect that the efforts at Kawakami Dam, where these technologies will be expanded, will serve as milestones for future i-Construction & Management.
