Obayashi has formulated the long-term vision, "Obayashi Sustainability Vision 2050," based on our philosophy of "contribution to realizing a sustainable society." In its vision, Obayashi has set "decarbonization" as one of its goals for the period 2040 to 2050. As specific measures to achieve "decarbonization," we are reducing CO2 emissions at construction sites, providing buildings with excellent environmental performance such as ZEB, and promoting wooden structures and interiors in high-rise buildings. We have also been working on renewable energy business since 2012. In addition to solar, biomass, and onshore wind power generation, we are developing new businesses such as offshore wind power generation, geothermal power generation, and green hydrogen project, which we are aiming to commercialize in the future, to provide green energy solutions to society at large.

The Obayashi Group will continue to promote ESG initiatives through its business activities with the aim of realizing a sustainable society and enhancing corporate value with all our stakeholders including our supply chain.
