In support of the mission articulated by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Obayashi Corporation has joined the TNFD Forum to promote its activity.

TNFD is a global initiative founded in June 2021 as a framework of environment-related non-financial disclosures following the establishment of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). It aims to achieve a nature-positive world in 2030 by shifting the global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes and toward nature-positive (*1) outcomes through the development of a risk management and disclosure framework for organizations that are related to the natural environment and biodiversity.

In pursuit of the sustainability of "the Planet, Society, and People," as stated in the "Obayashi Sustainability Vision 2050," the Obayashi Group has established the Obayashi Group Environmental Policy to realize a society that respects the natural world. Through its entire business, the Group is driving an effort to mitigate environmental impacts on natural capital by conserving biodiversity and preserving and resuscitating the natural world.

With its participation in the TNFD Forum, Obayashi will continue to develop a framework for adequately evaluating and disclosing risks and opportunities related to natural capital, provide timely disclosure for our stakeholders, and improve its corporate value.
