Obayashi Corporation Selected for Inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index

Obayashi Corporation has been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index, the Asia-Pacific component of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (DJBIC), a leading global ESG investment index. Including its former name, the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific), Obayashi Corporation has been included for the second consecutive year.

The DJBIC are ESG stock indices provided by S&P Dow Jones Indices. Based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) conducted by S&P Global, the indices evaluate companies from the perspectives of "Governance & Economic," "Environmental," and "Social" dimensions, and select companies that demonstrate outstanding sustainability performance within their respective industries.

The DJBIC Asia Pacific Index covers companies in Japan, Asia, and Oceania. In this year's review, 162 companies (including 76 Japanese companies) were selected from a universe of approximately 600 leading companies in the region. In the Construction & Engineering sector, four companies were selected, including two Japanese companies, one of which is Obayashi Corporation.
