Renewable Energy Initiatives

For a Sustainable Society

We are now facing serious environmental problems, such as global warming and air pollution. Protecting environment and contributing for a sustainable society is being urgent social challenges. Our renewable energy business is one of our initiatives to solve these social challenges within our medium- to long-term environmental vision, Obayashi Sustainability Vision 2050.

Our Next Generation Energy Businesses

Amid changes in energy related fields, we established Obayashi Clean Energy Corporation in July 2012 to diversify our earning base. We are generating electricity from renewable energy sources. We began operation of solar, biomass and onshore/offshore wind power generation, and we are now promoting geothermal power and hydroelectric power generation businesses. The renewable energy business is one of our four core pillars of Obayashi Medium-Term Business Plan 2017.

Through our initiatives, we can solve social challenges and realize a sustainable society. We accumulate our EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) knowhow of energy business, and are getting ready to provide the best solution for our clients' needs in next generation energy.
