Suginami Koukaidou, which opened in June 2006, was Japan’s first private finance initiative for a public concert hall. Under a public-private partnership, Obayashi developed the concert hall, practice rooms and other facilities to fit perfectly with the hall’s role as the cultural center of Suginami-ku while providing quality operations and services.
