This new swimming pool will be the venue for the National Sports Festival to be held in Aomori Prefecture in 2026. It is equipped with a movable floor that allows the depth of the water to be changed, and by raising the movable wall in the center of the pool, it can also be used as a 25-meter pool. The entire sports park, including the new swimming pool, will be operated and maintained for 15 years under a PFI project led by Obayashi Corporation.
