What is a brake damper?
When a building shakes due to strong winds or earthquakes, frictional force is generated between the stainless steel plates and the brake materials, similar to how a car brakes work, to absorb the energy of the shaking. Brake damper can be applied not only to anti-vibration measures for skyscrapers, but also to vibration control retrofitting of existing buildings.

Brake Damper Mechanism
Stable frictional force is generated by tightening the stainless steel plate and brake materials with bolts via a disc spring

Customer benefits
Reduce shaking caused by strong winds or earthquakes
- It reduces both large and small shakings caused by strong winds or earthquakes by 60% to 70%.
Applicable to a wide range of projects from new construction to renovation of existing buildings
- It can be incorporated into new buildings as well as existing buildings for vibration control reinforcement and as part of the finishing materials.
- It can be applied to a wide range of types of buildings such as low-rise to high-rise buildings.
No need for maintenance or post-earthquake replacement
- Since it does not get damaged by earthquakes, it does not require maintenance or replacement.
High quality and low cost
- It has achieved high quality and low cost through mass production of industrial products with reliable quality and standardization of systems.
