A research and development facility was constructed on reclaimed land in Sakai City, Osaka, consolidating Kubota’s domestic research functions. Through close collaboration between civil engineering and architectural teams, precast concrete panels with three-dimensional curved surfaces were adopted for the exterior of the design and research building, creating a distinctive architectural expression. The project achieved ZEB certification for the office areas and Nearly ZEB certification for the design and research building as a whole.
