THE BRIDGEは、2022年12月に、大林グループのフレンチレストラン「ルポンドシエル」の移転に伴い、食事とともにアートを鑑賞できるアートダイニングとして誕生したギャラリーです。さまざまなアートの企画展示により、レストランに訪れる人の感性を刺激しています。

現代アート作家の支援として、関西を拠点に活躍する作家をはじめ、さまざまな作家の作品を展示しています。レストランの利用者以外のどなたでも入場が可能で、アートとの接点を広げています（展示作品の購入も可能です）。

大林組は、アートを活かした空間づくりにより、新たなコミュニケーションの場を生み出し、地域社会との交流を行っています。

THE BRIDGE is a gallery that was born in December 2022 as an art dining where you can enjoy art while dining, following the relocation of Obayashi Group's French restaurant "LE PONT DE CIEL." A variety of art exhibits stimulate the sensibilities of those who visit the restaurant.
In support of contemporary artists, we exhibit works by a variety of artists, including those based in the Kansai area. Anyone can enter, expanding the number of points of contact with art. (Exhibited works can also be purchased.)
By creating spaces utilizing art, Obayashi Corporation is making new places for communication and interacting with local communities.

店名「ルポンドシエル（LE PONT DE CIEL）」は、フランス語で「天架ける橋」を意味します。「PONT」は「橋」、「CIEL」は「空」を表し、この名には、お客様のくつろぎのひとときと美食をつなぐ、文化の架け橋でありたいという思いが込められています。店内ギャラリーの名称は「THE BRIDGE」。こうした「橋」にまつわる物語を背景に、今回、本ギャラリーでは特別展「THE BRIDGE（大阪・中之島を彩る水都の名橋）」を企画しました。水都・大阪の中心にある中之島は、堂島川と土佐堀川に囲まれ、古くから人・もの・文化が行き交う拠点として発展してきました。その景観を支えてきたのが、川に架かる数々の橋です。本展では、当店に程近い天神橋、難波橋、大江橋、淀屋橋を取り上げます。完成間もない頃の姿と現在の姿を対比しながら、橋が都市の記憶を受け継ぎ、時代とともに景観の一部として成熟してきた歩みに思いをはせてみてはいかがでしょうか。

LE PONT DE CIEL takes its name from the French words PONT ("bridge") and CIEL ("sky"), meaning "a soaring bridge." The name reflects our wish to serve as a cultural bridge that connects our guests' moments of comfort with the pleasures of fine cuisine.
The gallery within the restaurant is called THE BRIDGE. Inspired by stories associated with bridges, the gallery presents a special exhibition, "THE BRIDGE: Renowned Bridges Gracing Nakanoshima, Osaka." Nestled between the Dojima and Tosabori Rivers in the heart of Osaka, the City of Water, Nakanoshima has long flourished as a vibrant crossroads where people, goods, and culture converge. Its distinctive cityscape is defined in part by the numerous bridges spanning these waterways.
This exhibition features four bridges located close to our restaurant: Tenjinbashi, Naniwabashi, Oebashi, and Yodoyabashi. Through photographs comparing their appearances shortly after completion with those of today, the exhibition traces how these bridges have carried the memories of the city and, over time, matured into an integral part of its urban landscape. We invite you to reflect on the journey these bridges have made through the decades.
